Where are we?
We were able to attend my sister's wedding in West Baden Springs, Indiana. We had never heard of the city but knew it would be small because when looked it up online we saw its population was 650 people. When we arrived and were driving through all the tiny towns we felt as though we were in the location of where a horror film was shot (or even took place). Everywhere you looked were either corn fields or homes hidden in trees. It was one of those places where if something happened to someone it would probably be a week until one of their neighbors noticed. They even had Elm Street and small lake called Crystal Lake.
Luckily we had our navigation to help us. We found a Pizza Hut, the only food establishment we recognized, and went in to eat. It was one of the old restaurants where you actuallly sit down and order. As soon as we walked in everyone in the place stopped and stared at us, intrigued by the outsiders. I have never felt so out of place. The girl came over to take our order and had a very deep accent. After she walked away the kids asked why she talked funny and I told them that to her we talk funny.
The next day we went to a cute indoor waterpark and had a blast! They had 4 waterslides, a lazy river, a large water play structure for the kids, water basketball, and a splash pad for little ones. The best part is that since school was in session we had the whole place practically to ourselves.
