Modern Art?

Our modern art playground.

How the school website shows what the school looks like.

What the school actually looks like.

When we heard there was going to be a new school built and we were in the boundaries we were so excited. When we arrived at the school we were expecting everything new, a new building, new playgrounds, beautiful landscaping. It wasn't exactly like I had imagined in my day dream. The school was not quite ready for us to start. There were no tables in the lunch room to eat on, the cement was still being poured for the sidewalks, the landscaping consisted of dirt, more dirt and a mote in front of the school. At least the landscaping in the back of the school was almost done. There is grass and new playground equipment. I think the playground looks more like a modern art sculpture than a functional jungle gym. The toys are too small for the number of students in the school and they are metal which is way too hot to play on when it's hot outside. I can just imagine who will be the first one to try to lick the frozen pole in the winter.
