Fourth of July!
We had a weekend of fun and excitement. It began on the Fourth of July with a family dinner at my sister's house. We ate lots and then headed outside for a couple games of croquet. Jimmie and my three nephews decided to create an alliance against me. It didn't help them much since I got poisoned and killed them one by one with much satisfaction. The next game their alliance unfortunately defeated me and I was the first one out of the game. Here is a picture of the fun had during croquet. After that we decided to pay tribute to the great soldiers who gave us our
freedom by reenacting the Marine Corps War Memorial. Here is our attempt at it:
We then headed over to the nearby high school to watch the fireworks. We had a great place to sit and our neighbors ended up sitting by us for a night full of talking and laughs. Besides Paxton falling asleep in the middle of the fireworks, everything was great.
Then on the 5th we went to the Drive-in with my sister and her family to see Wall-E and Prince Caspian. We got there right before they opened the gates and were ready for the hours of waiting ahead. We had brought pizza, drinks, and plenty of junk food and games to keep us busy. My sister even brought a card table and chairs to sit on to play board games.
We got some weird looks, but had a lot of fun. The adults played Apples to Apples and Last Word while the kids played Guess Who and Uno Attack. The time flew and soon the movies were starting. The kids liked Wall-E but enjoyed Prince Caspian much better. The movies ended at the early hours of 2 am and we headed home to our beds. It was a great weekend!

2 am? AWESOME! Love the memorial reenactment. Funny.
Sounds like fun! Did you like Wall-e? I've heard some mixed reviews.
we were there on July 3rd. Isn't the drive-in fun? That would have been awesome to have been there with you guys.
You guys do such fun stuff! I love the drive-in! We have not been in forever. I don't even know if I could stay up that late anymore, well definitely not while pregnant.
How fun! I haven't been to a drive-in in forever! good times you guys are having!
Happy Late 4th of July!

You guys know how to pack in the fun. Love the picture re-enactment. Do you know Gavin's teacher yet for Kindergarten?
