10 years of wedded bliss

I decided that since most of you don't know how Jimmie and I met that I'd tell you. It all began about 12 years ago when I was attending BYU and Jimmie had just returned home from his mission. He decided to go to UVSC and moved into the apartment complex and ward that I was in. After the first ward prayer of the semester my roommate told me there was a really cute guy who had just moved into the ward. She introduced me to him and his roommate right before we went outside for a ward snowball fight. Jimmie, the roommate, kept throwing me down on the ground and piling snow in my face. I was really annoyed and couldn't figure out why this weird guy I had just met kept attacking me. Later he told me that he thought I was the girl who lived in the apartment next door who he thought was cute.

The next ward activity we had was a 50's roller skating party. We both attended and when a couples skate came on, I walked up to the group of 6 guys he was standing in and asked if any of them wanted to skate. All the guys looked over at Jimmie so he said he would. We ended up skating together most of the time until another guy asked me to skate and Jimmie wouldn't talk to me the rest of the night.

Jimmie soon after asked me out and we've been together ever since. We dated for almost a year and were engaged for 9 months before we were married in the Bountiful Temple.

In celebration of the 10 years we've been married I want to tell you10 reasons why I still love you…

1. You make me laugh every day.
2. You’re always willing to listen when I need to talk.
3. You laugh at my sarcasm even when sometimes only I think it’s funny.
4. You gave me 4 beautiful kids.
5. You understand when I need a break and let me get out without kids.
6. You left a job you LOVED to work in Utah and be with our family every day.
7. You work so hard to provide everything for our family.
8. You agree that I’m the smart one out of the two of us!
9. You are patient with me when my one or two flaws come out.
10. You help me to be a better person every day.

There have been lots of laughs & tears, joy & some sorrow, happiness & frustration during the past 10 years. There is no one else I would rather have spent the last 10 years or the rest of eternity with than you. I love you, Jimmie!
