Playing catch up

We had so much fun in October that I didn't have time to blog about it. So here is a recap-

We went to the Pumpkin Patch for Paxton's preschool where they take you on a hay ride out to the fields. On the way to the pumpkins they stopped and picked carrots, radishes, onions, corn and sunflowers to show the kids how they look freshly picked. I was really impressed with how much they actually teach the children about how vegetables are grown, I thought we were just going to choose a pumpkin! Then they have a bunch of slides, animals to see, a bouncer, and a small tractor pulled train ride. Paxton loved all of it, but I enjoyed running into Jimmie's sister and watching her squeeze herself into the little train to take a ride.

We also went to Gardener Village with some friends. They have a whole bunch of witches hidden around and you get to do a scavenger hunt trying to find them. We were able to find all of them but the only pen we had between the two of us to write them down on the paper died half way through so there was the end of the scavenger hunt. So we just walked around, took pictures and visited the petting zoo.

We had our ward Halloween party where they had dinner and games for the kids. We went from room to room where the kids played eat the donut off the string, pin-the-part on the skeleton, they got their face painted, did a cake walk, and went through a haunted house.

Jimmie and I couldn't let the kids have all the fun so we decided to dress up too. We were Gomez and Morticia from the Addam's family. At the beginning we got quite a few weird looks and I can't remember how many times I was asked if I was Elvira, but it was fun anyway.

Sounds like a month packed with a lot of fun. I absolutely LOVE your costumes. What a very striking couple you make. You both are so awesome for dressing up!
