LA Zoo

We learned a very useful lesson today, time is money...let me explain.  We had 4 hours until we had to be at the airport so we decided to go to the LA Zoo which is only a few miles from the airport we were flying out of.  We arrived 20 minutes before the zoo was open and there was a line winding back and forth 6 times and then down the length of half the parking lot.  We assessed our choices, wait in line for atleast an hour to get in or go find something else to do to kill the time.  That's when I noticed the membership line to buy a zoo pass only had 10 people in it.  It was decided, it was worth the extra $25 to become a member not to have to wait in line.  I got in line when an employee walked up to me with a clipboard and said he could processes memberships and we wouldn't have to stand in line.  Bonus!  It took a couple minutes to fill in the form and we were in the zoo right after they opened the gates.  Now if we're down in Southern CA again in the next year we have free entertainment!

Komodo Dragon, one of the cool animals we saw
Jayden, make sure to wash your hands before we eat lunch
Just part of the hundreds of people who were enjoying the zoo at the same time as us

What a fun trip! Loved all the posts on the different attractions you visited. Thanks for the tip about Legoland, we've contemplated trying it but now I think we would do something else. Glad you had so much fun!
