Getting together is fun to do...
For Jimmie's birthday I tried to get his mission buddies together to celebrate bu
t they decided to have other plans: family stuff, working, and celebrating their anniversary (come on you've already been together for this long, what's waiting one more weekend to celebrate?) so we decided to try it another weekend. It actually worked out well because one
couple who was from Washington state was coming in town so it seemed like the perfect time to reschedule. We invited everyone over to our house for dinner and games. The kids had a great time playing dress up, watc
hing a movie and playing video games so the adults could spend some time reminiscing the past. The guys relived every experience they had and even felt the need to duplicate old pictures they had taken from the MTC days. I've included this photo of Ralph reinacting the hundreds of Superman photos taken through their two years together. The girls then decided to break out the board games while the guys decided to play with Brian's new toy, a
g
reat camera. After the guys got the jealousy out of their system and had added that camera to their Christmas list, they broke out Rock Band. Some of the guys had a lot of confidence in themselves and decided to start at the difficult level which quickly ended in their band being booed off the stage. Soon they realized easy was a better place to start and they did great. We had a great time seeing
everyone again and laughing about the past. The only thing that could have made the night better was if I hadn't gotten food poisoning the day before and felt really sick through the whole thing.

Super fun to see familiar faces! Not only you and Jimmie but Brian and Kristin and that other tall guy I remember seeing lots of pictures of.
Wow, they should make you guys in charge of the next mission reunion. You'd be great! That sucks you had food poisoning. How'd you get it? Happy Late Birthday, Jimmie! :)
You had a busy weekend. Thanks for having us over for games last night, it was fun. We will host the next game night.
How cool. Sadly that reminds me, I don't have any missionary friends I keep in touch with. Oh well. Jim's birthday is in April. So how come you're celebrating it in August?
Jesse-
If you read the passage carefully, you'd see that everyone couldn't get together for his birthday so we did it when the one couple came into town. It wasn't for his birthday at that point anymore, it was just getting everyone together.
So fun! I love rockband! We should get together sometime to jam! Where did Jimmy go on his mission? Happy bday Jimmy!
