Food, fun and lights
Every month my family gets together to celebrate the birthdays therein. I don't know whether it's to avoid seeing each other every week with how many people there are in the family, or it's to make sure we still acknowledge each other as our family, but either way it forces us to keep in contact.
This month we went to Jurassic Gym down in Riverton. It's the dream playland we wish we could provide our kids so they could make unforgettable memories to cherish for life and it would also make us the envy of the neighborhood. The kids had a great time climbing, swinging and sliding for hours.

Even the adults joined in until we realized it wasn't meant for adults when the tube slide was swaying back and forth when Jimmie went down. Now I consider myself a pretty slender person, but realized I had "enjoyed" the holiday treats a little too much when I tried to climb through a tube slide and my bum got stuck. How embarrassing to have a line of kids behind me asking what was taking so long. After dislodging myself the only way I could which was to back out of the slide, it was time for pizza and cake. We enjoyed the good food and don't worry, the embarrassment didn't cause any restraint when it came to making sure I ate my fair share.

After eating the party came to a quick halt when Paxton hit the light switch and turned all the lights off. We flicked the switch but nothing happened. After a few more tries we still had no luck and went to get an employee. She informed us that it takes 15 minutes for the lights to warm up before they will turn on and that there use to be a cover over the switch that they never replaced when it was pulled off two months ago. Then she asked why we let a child turn the lights off as if it was our fault. Okay, I admit my child hit the switch, but doesn't every child feel inclined to play with a light switch whenever they see one? (I can't tell you how many times each Sunday we'd be standing in the hallway at church when the lights go out and we hope it wasn't our child who did it this time.) So, the employee and I were at a disagreement of what caused this predicament. I feel that if they would have taken the five minutes to reinstall the cover that this wouldn't have happened where the employee felt that no child should ever be allowed in proximity to a light switch located right next to eating area. Besides the quick end to the party as we played in the dark for the last fifteen minutes, we had quite an enjoyable time.

Wow! I'm so glad to see you are no longer neglecting your blog!! This is a good day. That's awesome that you get to see your family so often, and that you get to stuff your face with cake and ice cream, even after getting stuck in a slide. Although, if you are getting stuck in slides, there is seriously no hope for the rest of us. Ugh.
Fun! I can't remember if I emailed you about my change of blog address now it's

Looks like a fun place to go and play! I agree with you about the light switch issue. That is lame.
