A camping we will go...
All year long we had been promising the kids we would take them camping so we finally booked a spot at a campground and went. We decided to stay nearby just to be cautious with me being pregnant and we didn't want to go south where it would be more hot so we camped by Willard Bay. When we got there we pitched our tent and then went swimming in the pool. Gavin thought the water temperature was a little too cold.
After swimming we ate dinner, watched the beautiful sunset and played card games until the kids were sufficiently tired. Then we laid down but it was so hot it took hours for us to fall asleep.
In the morning we got up and ready for the day then headed to Pineview Reservoir where there's a great beach area and the water is more clear. First we taught the kids how to fish. They were all excited every time they cast their fishing line, but couldn't understand why the fish were taking so long to come eat their bait. Jimmie brought his fishing pole with hopes that he would be able to show the kids how to fish and then have time to fish himself. We decided that when you have four kids holding a fishing pole with a sharp hook on the end you should never take your eyes off them, even if it is just to pick up your own pole. Unfortunately, there were so many boats that kept coming close to where we were that we didn't end up actually catching any fish, but the kids did great at catching sticks, moss, rocks, and each other.
Paxton decided playing in the mud was much more fun than holding a fishing pole. After fishing we had a picnic lunch and played at the beach for a couple hours. The water felt great after being in the hot sun. Then we headed back to the campground. We decided that since it was so hot and we had been miserable sleeping the night before that we wouldn't stay the second night and headed home to air conditioning and our comfortable beds. The kids had a great time but I don't suggest to anyone going camping 6 weeks before you have a baby in 100 degree heat.

Oh, sorry your camping trip was so hot. Other than that, it looks like you guys had some fun!
We need to get together soon, whose turn do you think it is to plan something? Jenn?? Me too :)
You only have 6 weeks left?? The camping trip looked fun-- the kids will remember how fun they had fishing!
