4th of July Fun

For the 4th of July we went to the Kaysville Parade. The first half of it is like a normal parade but during the second half the people in the parade can get you wet and you can get them wet. The water part begins with a Fire Truck hosing down the crowd and we always laugh when our kids try to run away from the hundreds of gallons of water coming at them. We only stayed for a small portion of the water part because it started lightly raining and we ran out of water. It's not as fun when you are getting wet but can't get them wet in return.

Then we grabbed KFC for lunch and headed to the park. We played croquet and bocce which the kids loved, yet very quickly began cheating at. By now it was mid-afternoon so we decided to go home and relax until the family bar-b-que at my parents house.
After dinner we lit some fireworks and then went to the high school where we played games until the fireworks started. It was a very fun yet relaxing holiday!
