Accomplishments Rewarded

In the midst of potty training, we promised each one of our kids that when they had completely filled in their potty chart, that we would take them somewhere fun. In California it was easy, the prize was we take them to Disneyland. (Which is actually where they usually had their first accident since they were so excited that they didn't want to leave the line to go potty. FYI, they sell underwear at Disneyland if anyone ever needs to know.) Unfortunately for Paxton, Disneyland was not an option. We asked him where he wanted to go and he replied Chuck E. Cheese. We tried to persuade him to choose something closer since the only one in Utah is 45 minutes away, but he insisted that's where he wanted to go. After his potty chart was full, it was time to fulfill our part of the deal. When we arrived it wasn't very crowded and the kids had a great time running from game to game. We ate pizza which they couldn't seem to eat fast enough to get back out to the action. The kids had a great time riding the small rides and playing their hearts out until it was time to leave, too many people had come and we had used all the tokens. We quickly cashed in our tickets for prizes and then shoved our way through the mob of people waiting to get in. Overall, it we had quite an enjoyable time and Paxton was so thrilled with his reward. Here is a picture of Paxton's favorite ride, a kid size Monster truck that actually goes up and down like you'd be driving it through mountains.

He is too cute in his big monster truck. I must say though, I'm a little disappointed that you couldn't pull out Disneyland. Come on... it's only a short airplane ride away! I guess Chuck E.Cheese is a close second.:) I'm glad my kids haven't made me go to Chuck E. Cheese's for awhile because I'm afraid of those furry creatures playing in the band. :) Glad to hear they liked it, and good job, Paxton on mastering the potty.

That is so fun! I loved Chuck E Cheese when I was little. I too was terrified of the animal in the band. I would not go in that room alone. And I would try to hurry and eat before they started singing. I hope you have not scarred Paxton by not taking him to disney. I would be. I am totally joking! Way cute pic!

That is a great Idea! I had never thought of that before, I hate potty training, but I love not having to change diapers all day long! We have not taken our kids to chuck E cheese yet, because it's so far away, and always crowded! Kudos to you, for being nicer parents than we are!
