Oops, my bad

In the December post about Jimmie getting a job here I teased him for using the word painterly:

"It is amazing that artists can do something wonderful like make a full length animated movie but they can't use words known in the dictionary such as painterly. What the heck does painterly mean?"

I really thought it was something they made up in their artistic world. I have to admit, I was wrong, it is a real word. Jimmie was reading some tutorials when there it was, the word painterly right in the middle of the book. I still didn't believe him so I looked it up in the dictionary and it was there.

Painterly:
characterized by qualities of color, stroke, or texture perceived as distinctive to the art of painting, esp. the rendering of forms and images in terms of color or tonal relations rather than of contour or line.

Oh, all my months of teasing him are at an end, well, at least about that. Jimmie, just for you I'm sorry.

Good for you for admitting your mistake. Who could have known? I thought it was made up for sure!

I hear you 100% on husbands using work terms that normal people don't use. I agree with you... even if you're wrong. :)

By the way, public apologizies are awesome and hilarious. I love this post.

One good thing about being married to Troy is that I am normally right in these type of situations. :) Sorry, you had to be on the losing end this time!
