A visit from Santa
On Saturday our ward had their annual Christmas breakfast. We ate more cinnamon rolls and muffins than healthy stuff (it didn't taste nearly as good) just in time for Santa to come and bring us more candy. Most of the kids were excited when Santa came into the room, all except for Paxton. He stared at Santa like a deer in headlights. Then as great parents, we dragged him to stand in line and placed him on Santa's lap. He stared at Santa wondering what he was doing with this stranger. He seemed to warm up a little after Santa handed him a candy cane. After that every time we asked him if he liked Santa, he replied," Yes, Santa gave me candy." Isn't it funny how we tell our kids all year long not to talk to or especially take candy from strangers and then on Christmas we sit him on a strange man who likes kids to sit on his lap and take candy from him?

okay, I love the look on his face right now! That is classic! I miss Paxton, how are ya doing buddy?
I am in total agreement with you about the whole 'Santa thing' being very weird when you actually stop to think about it. Maybe it's good that Paxton looks terrified in this picture. Too funny!
Ok, it was funny in real life, and it's funny again. His face is pricesless! Poor little Paxton... need we torture our children all for the sake of a picture? :)
Love the picture! How fun you and Jimmie got to get away and do disney on your own!
