Pirates ahoy!

Last week was also Gavin's birthday and he wanted a pirate party. Gavin dressed up in his pirate costume that's for Halloween and we had bandanas for all of his friends to wear. We first played dodge ball where the kids had to stay away from the cannon ball. Then it was pin the pirate on the treasure map where almost every kid peaked under the blindfold to put their pirate exactly on the X. Next we went on a treasure hunt to find a treasure chest full of loot (bags). The kids were so excited to open the box and see the treasure inside. Then they each took turns hitting the pirate flag piniata until the rest the goodies inside could be scavenged over. Next it was time to eat the cake and open presents. Gavin had so much fun and I loved the looks some of our neighbors gave us when we had pirate flags all over our yard and door.
