Halloween fun

Our Halloween fun started with our ward Halloween party. The kids were so excited to finally get to wear their costumes and Jimmie even dressed as a pirate to match two of his boys. The party began with a spaghetti dinner. I don't know who plans the parties but they obviously don't have young kids. We always show up with kids looking way cute in their costumes but by the time we go around to the games they are covered in spaghetti stains from head to toe. I was actually the only one not with signs of what we had for dinner on my clothes. Then we went around to the games which included eating a donut off a string which Paxton cheated on, a fishing pond, tattoo parlor, musical tomb stones, a cake walk, and a haunted house. Gavin and Paxton were too scared half way through and came back out the entrance. We had a lot of fun and came home with a lot of loot.

Then on Halloween night, I stayed home while Jimmie took the kids out trick-or-treating. By the time they had hit all the houses on our street Paxton was done and he returned home to help hand out candy. I was dressed as Little Red Riding Hood and was handing out candy in a basket. Paxton stole the basket and wouldn't let me touch it after that. He handed out the candy, he refilled it with more, and held it for safe keeping between trick-or-treaters. It was really funny to watch how serious he was about his self proclaimed job. Here are some pics of the kids we took before the ward party and Jayden's broken arm. Sorry, Jimmie and I
opted not to include ours! You had to be there in person to experience the joy of seeing us.

So there was a "diving for donuts" game! I didn't see it, and really wanted a donut, so I was disappointed when we couldn't find it. I'm with you on the spaghetti thing... who thought that was a good idea? :) You guys all looked fabulous. I loved the costumes.
