Thankful for E & F...

E: Eyes to watch my kids growing up and Ears to hear their laughs and giggles, I wouldn't want to miss any of it. I am also grateful for Eggo waffles.

When we first moved here I was insistent that we would continue to eat the same meals even when Jimmie wasn't home. As time went on I realized the kids would prefer having simple dinners like Mac & Cheese or hot dogs instead of lasagna or chicken dishes. Plus Jimmie would hate that we ate those during the week and I wouldn't want to make them again during the weekend. Now we go for quick and easy meals during the week. One morning Jimmie got out some Eggo waffles to eat when Jayden quickly yelled, "Dad, you can't eat those, they're for dinner!" Okay, so I have to admit we probably eat Eggo's for dinner more than any other family, but the kids like it!

F: Friends. I have some really amazing friends that I have been so grateful for in my life. I was put on full bed rest with Paxton at week 28. It was the longest three months of my life. Thanks to amazing friends who brought dinners, came and watched my kids for me in the morning, and my friend Amy who would take and pick up Alyssa from kindergarten every day (even when she had a kindergartener too that went in the morning and Alyssa was in the afternoon. She was at the school 4 times every day!) I couldn't have done it without them.

I had to laugh and the ego waffle thing! I do it too, when Casey's in school. Easy food like that is truly something to be grateful for. I admire you a lot for being such a good Mom while being without a hubby all week! You're amazing to me!

I'd do the same thing if my husband were gone, no question!

I'm also grateful for good friends... especially the ones that sing for you, when they don't want to. :)
