I am Thankful for...

What are you thankful for?

This idea came from my friend Jamie, and I thought it was great idea to do for Thanksgiving time. This is what to do--each day of this month make a list of your thankful things that start with each letter of the alphabet. So these are mine:

A: Alyssa, Artwork, Air conditioners, Alarm system to keep us safe until an Airplane brings Jimmie back to us.

Alyssa is just like a little mom around here. She always looks out for her brothers and even tries to discipline them when they do something wrong. She is really good at being a great friend, drawing, dancing, playing soccer, and singing (okay, so she can't sing in tune, but she does like to do it and it makes her happy which makes us happy. Don't worry, we'll get her singing lessons when she's older.) We are glad she is in our family to watch over all of us.

Artwork: Our house would be a lot less decorated without our kids artwork. Our kids draw pictures all day long every single day. We go through more computer paper than anyone I know. At first they just hung them on the fridge, but then the fridge ran out of room. (We bought the biggest fridge Home Depot had!) Now they wallpaper our walls with them. I say wallpaper because they literally cover almost every square inch. The pictures are cute but I'm afraid we're going to run out of room soon.

Air conditioners: When we were doing our summer long paver project we were out in the sun for hours. Most of the time we managed to stay hydrated but on one occasion Jimmie didn't drink enough water and got really sick for the next 24 hours. I really gained a great appreciation for our air conditioner and everyone that went through life without one.

B: Band-aids the make everything better and blogging so I can keep in touch with old friends and get to know new ones even better.
